Fall Is Here

There's no doubt, fall is here. When I walk out to get the newspaper in the morning, I need a jacket. The air is crisp, clean and cool. It even smells like fall. Like leaves and branches and a bit of dust...earthy.

The horses' coats are getting thick and fuzzy. They are mostly interested in one thing now -- eating. They are especially pleased when we bring them the decorative corn and field corn that "doesn't make the grade" for Papa's Pumpkin Patch.

Another sign of fall is when Mrs. P doesn't think her yard will ever be the same. It's true; after thousands of people walk across it and Poppy's Express circles over it and wagon after wagon is wheeled around it, the grass does look more like a race track than the lush green lawn it was at the beginning of the season.

All of this OK. We love the seasons at Papa's and we love to celebrate them.

See you soon,

Papa
